Early this year (2015) we were approached by Visit Isle of Man with the idea of creating some content to promote the island and demonstrate the unique landscape, attractions and scenery it has to offer.  The idea revolved around working with local freerunner Will Sutton to create a film that took free running out of the urban environment and set it against the stunning backdrop of the Isle of Man.  The Isle of Man is World renowned for the TT motorcycle races but this project was certainly viewed as an opportunity to showcase other aspects of the island and look to encourage tourism out with the 2 weeks of the TT races in June.

Visit Isle of Man truly gave us the creative freedom to work along with Will to create the film ‘Will Sutton: Homefree’ and after filming around the Island for 4 days we are certainly delighted with the results…  Deliverables on the project included the primary film focussed for YouTube/online and this was supported content for social media and supporting Visit Isle of Man website that included photography and short video clips for Instagram. The film was delivered directly to 100k subscribers directly on the Cut Media YouTube channel and was also supported by a short ‘behind the scenes’ film to add some additional youtube content.

As an added bonus Cut Media also brought on board the BBC One Show who covered some behind the scenes content from the production and delivered a World Premiere of the film to it’s 7 million strong audience.  After becoming aware of some of our previous work with both Danny Macaskill and Dougie Lampkin, the producers of the show had approached us with the view to featuring anything we may create in the future so obviously this film was a natural fit.

Thanks to both Will Sutton for his skills and professionalism and also Aly at Visit Isle of Man for all the support assistance.
